 Abstract:  The collection contains the papers of Henry G. Plitt, a Brigadier General in the United States Army during World War II and Chairman of the Friends of the Israel Defense Forces. The collection includes letters signed by Chaim Herzog, President of the State of Israel (April 18, 1989), and Yitzchak Rabin, then Minister of Defense (March 23, 1989), regarding Friends of the IDF. Also included are photocopies of articles from the New York Times regarding Plitt's capture of Nazi war criminal Julius Streicher (May 24, 1945).

 Abstract:  Rabbi Dr. Henry Raphael Gold was a noted rabbi, psychiatrist, and Zionist leader. He held rabbinical positions in Memphis, Boston, New Orleans and Dallas. He served as president of Hapoel Hamizrachi, the labor Zionist organization, before it merged with Mizrachi to form the Religious Zionists of America. The collection contains reprints of articles, speeches and papers written by Rabbi Dr. Gold on psychiatry and Judaism.

 Abstract:  The collection includes three reports by the Office of Strategic Services (OSS), predecessor organization to the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA), concerning the activities of Peter Bergson and his Revisionist Zionist organization. The "Bergson Group" Revisionists publicized the horrors experienced by European Jewry under the Nazis to arouse public concern and to pressure the United States government into allowing rescue missions of Nazi victims.

The collection contains a photograph (circa 1905), some of Young's letters of credentials as rabbi and schochet, and a brief biographical sketch written by his son.
